I understand that the summary task is simply summarizing the information below, but there is no cost on this new sub-task. As I detail out the schedule and make the original sub-task a summary task, it keeps the cost attached, but I have no way of editing it. Initially I have built a simple WBS to allow my client to see their different costing areas with their respective sub cost areas added at the sub-task level. I have included a copy of a section of my code as it appears in my "Project calculates the percentage of work completed for each summary taskīased on the progress of its subtasks." However I can not get that to In the "Incorporate Progress" Menu, microsoft states, % of work completed not calculated on summary task. Please advise or point me to a solution (SR Update? Macro? Setting?).ĥ. This is a true show stopper for any kind of real functionality when using custom fields.

I've tried changing the rollup options, turning calculation to auto and manual and vice versa and no luck. I'm using MSP 2000, but the same issue arises in 2002. I know there are posts here about this issue, but surely there is a fix somewhere. Is there ANY way to re-calculate the Summary tasks?!! They work at first, then after subseuqent changes are made, they quit summarizing.

If I go under COM Add-ins, it shows that my old options are available, but (including Export Timescaled Data to Excel) are not available. However it only includes one option (PERT Analysis) and the other features I eventually managed to reactivate the PERT Analysis toolbar,
I went under View->Toolbars, but neither Analysis or PERT Analysis toolbars However for some reason today my entire Analysis toolbar disappeared! I also Today I was going to export timescaled data to Excel.
